Class 15 - continued... virtual exhibition & invitation design

Today's Class

1. Virtual Exhibition - Group Project (AT5)

We have the capability to create 3 exhibitions in VAS (Virtual Art Space) with a maximum of 20 artworks per exhibition so you can form yourselves into groups that might be able to collaborate on a similar theme or concept.

Decide what your exhibition theme and content might be.

We will have a brief tutorial looking at the VAS interface - how to start an exhibition, what to upload and how, how to arrange the artworks in the gallery and change properties for the exhibition space.

Details for the Virtual Art Space website account

I have set up an account that everyone can use for this project. the details are as follows:

username: CX4

password: exc2013

Unfortunately the "Artist Profile" options are geared towards a single artist exhibition, but I have tried to bypass this by calling the account "Various Artists". If you want to come up with a collective name for this profile, you can change it as a group.

As yet no exhibitions have been set up. Once you have a title, you can create an exhibition and start working with the gallery space. You will need a thumbnail image to represent the entire exhibition, and you can write a short description of the exhibition too.

Explore the VAS website to see what content you can add/edit and the instructions for uploading images and video to the gallery.

2. Graduate Show Invitation & Title Design

Take a look at some previous exhibition invitations we were able to dig up:

3. QR Code mini exhibition

I'm still waiting for people to email me a QR code of an image or something of your own creation that is online so that we can make a mini QR code exhibition.
